This is one of the many projects I did during J-Term at Augustana College. It was a fun class, and I learned a TON about photoshop (I thought I knew everything!) Anyways… it was way better than taking a government class for a change.

No real news yet for Noah. He’s really just great at getting into things he shouldn’t be getting into. He loves dancing to random songs (by going back and forth on his knees).

Other than that I was just sick for about a week last week and it was horrible! Thank God Rachel helped out with Noah so much because I couldn’t hardly stand up.

That’s probably the worst thing that can happen to you: being sick and trying to take care of a baby. It’s no fun.

Wow, it’s been awhile everyone.

I hope you all had a great Holiday Season. I know we did because we’re broke (sure way to know that you’ve had fun).

Noah’s been growing up quickly since the last time I posted. He’s been basically crawling all over the place, standing up while holding onto our entertainment center, and falling over trying to crack his head wide open.

He finally got his two bottom teeth coming through! They started coming through on New Year’s Eve morning. I could tell because he bit my finger and it hurt so bad! He even bit his mother’s finger and she screamed and then he started crying because she screamed!

He was a spoiled little man for Christmas. His favorite toy is a nice little guitar that plays music when you hit it. We got him a tumble time tigger that does cartwheels (it’s actually pretty amazing).

It’s really starting to get funny observing Noah’s TV viewing habits. When I’m watching one of my shows, he pays no attention whatsoever. But for some reason, when I turn on Veggietales… he won’t look away. He’ll even try to get closer to the TV and crawl up and touch it to see if it’s real. Hehe.

Being a parent is definitely harder than I think I ever imagined, especially since I’m in college. But I know that it’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever endured in my life. You can get a great promotion at your job and still feel a void, or you can win the lottery and still feel like something’s missing. Noah and my fiance fill every part of my soul to its capacity. I don’t know why it is, but when your child depends on you, and learns how to do everything from you, it gives you an emmense sense of satisfaction. It’s remarkable, and no one can explain it to you until you’re a parent.

Even though Noah still doesn’t sleep through the night, and frequently wakes me up at 6 in the morning, I couldn’t love him more. He has his moments, his crabby times, but all of those times are forgotten as soon as he flashes a smile my way. That’s all it takes. I hope he never stops smiling.
